June Donations by the Cornwall Bowel Cancer Support Group


At the June Committee meeting of the Cornwall Bowel Cancer Support Group the committee made the following donations from the group funds to:


  • £1000 to St Julia's Hospice, Hayle
  • £1000 to Mount Edgecumbe Hospice, St Austell
  • £250   to Paul Lidder - Colorectal Surgeon at Royal Cornwal Hospital who is raising money for the Royal Cornwall Hospital Charity

Researchers at the University of Southampton are setting up a website with information for those who have had bowel cancer. “We know that cancer treatment can leave people feeling tired, stressed or just worse than they used to, we would like to help people get back to feeling normal and healthy again.” Research leader, Professor and GP Paul Little said. They would like to talk to those who have finished treatment for bowel cancer in the last 10 years to gage whether the site is as useful as possible.
